Hey! Aleez here, founder of Open Up Energy and an 18-year-old high school student. As a modern-day teenager, I understand the daily pressures and challenges we face. Between school, sports, workouts, late-night study sessions, and chasing our goals, we often reach for energy drinks to give us that much-needed boost. Energy drinks have gone from being an occasional treat to a daily essential.

But most drinks out there leave us feeling jittery, bloated, or drained, or worse, they taste awful. The ingredients never make sense, and the Flavors always seems fake. I realized that while these drinks might help in the short term, they weren’t doing me any favors in the long run. I kept asking myself, “Do I compromise my performance or my health?” That wasn’t a choice I or my friends wanted to make. So I asked again: “Why isn’t there a clean energy drink that doesn’t harm your health but actually supports it and tastes great too?” Not a crazy ask, right? But I couldn’t find anything that truly delivered. That’s what inspired the Open Up mission: to create energy drinks that taste good, feel good, and are made with genuinely clean ingredients. From day one, we set out to build something different: using high-quality ingredients with no chemicals, no fake sugar spikes, just clean, uplifting energy.

So here’s my invitation: join us, feel the vibe, and open up to big aura energy.

My mum, Nilima, and my aunt, Reshma, loved the idea and joined me in turning this vision into reality, which was fitting, since they were always warning me to stay away from those nasty energy drinks out there. Both are huge probiotic enthusiasts and have always loved how they support gut and overall health. After working with our mixologist who has had several experience with probiotics, we collectively choose a kefir base for our drinks .
We also dug into why typical energy drinks cause energy crashes and found the culprit: high doses of synthetic sugars. To solve this, we added yerba mate for steady, sustained energy and monk fruit as a real, clean, all-natural sweetener.
For us at Open Up, it’s not just about creating a drink; it’s about creating an experience that connects to your aura. We wanted something that matches your vibe, boosts your spirit, and delivers what we call “Big Aura Energy.” From opening the can 😉 to the very last sip, it’s designed to be fun, flavourful, and memorable, an energy you can feel inside and out.

At Open Up Energy, environmental sustainability is a huge priority for us. We package all of our energy drinks in 100% recyclable aluminum cans to reduce single-use plastic waste and promote a circular economy.

Our ingredients are ethically sourced, focusing on organic, non-GMO, and plant-based components that support regenerative agriculture and minimize environmental impact.

We partner with local suppliers to reduce transportation emissions. Additionally, our campaigns and future initiatives will focus to support reforestation and clean water initiatives, reinforcing our commitment to a healthier planet with every can.
